Garri Dadyan (b. 1952, Baku, USSR) is a master artist and designer whose work is defined by extraordinary craftsmanship, historical influence, and original artistic vision. Working at the intersection of fine craftsmanship and artistic design, he creates one-of-a-kind handcrafted works distinguished by precision, detail, and timeless character.
 

Formally trained in the Soviet academic tradition, Dadyan became a member of the Union of Artists of the USSR in 1980 and the UNESCO Artists’ Union in 1993, reflecting international recognition of his artistic mastery. Throughout his career, he has participated in major exhibitions and collaborated with leading institutions and companies both in the former USSR and the United States.

During his early career, Dadyan created works for governmental institutions and established himself through exceptional technical skill, artistic discipline, and uncompromising attention to detail. His artistic language evolved through decades of dedicated practice, combining historical influence with original design and masterful execution.
 

Since relocating to the United States in 1997, Dadyan has continued to refine and expand his artistic practice through a lifetime devoted to craftsmanship and innovation. His works are held in museum and private collections worldwide, including the History Museum of Azerbaijan, and have been exhibited in the United States at institutions such as Bellevue Arts Museum. His creations are also published in David Darom’s The World of Art Knives, Vol. IV.

Rejecting industrial production and digital modeling, Dadyan approaches every piece with an uncompromising commitment to artistry, material mastery, and precision.
